Senior AP Specialist  (Bedford, MA)

 

The Edinburg Center is seeking an Sr. AP Specialist for a $24 million organization. The position reports to the Controller and is responsible for accounts payable activities and related duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounts payable cycle, including receiving invoices, obtaining internal verification that goods and services were received, determining appropriate coding for invoices, creating weekly and monthly check runs, and posting payments.
  • Act as point of contact to vendors and to internal managers to research and resolve invoice and payment issues
  • Manage annual 1099 process
  • Develop and maintain systems and procedures related to accounts payable management, including internal control policies.
  • Manage and control agency credit cards.
  • Manage a fleet of 20 vehicles, including coordinating insurance issues, repairs and maintenance.
  • Coordinate shared administrative functions, such as archiving of documents, cellular phone orders
  • Maintain comprehensive files for vendor contracts, invoices, leases, etc.
  • Assist with monthly journal entries

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s/Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Three to five years of experience in accounts payable management and 1099 preparation
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Proficiency with enterprise accounting software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and customer support skills
