Role Summary:
The Edinburg Center is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Recovery Coordinator to provide recovery-oriented rehabilitation services to assist people with mental health issues in their recovery.The Mental Health Recovery Coordinator will provide recovery-oriented psychosocial rehabilitation services, case coordination, advocacy, support, linkage, and outreach to adults with mental health issues living in the community. They will be working with treatment teams, medical providers, and family supports to promote psychiatric rehabilitation and continued independence in daily living, community integration, self-advocacy, and self-sufficiency. A recovery coordinator must be committed to providing support that enables a person struggling with mental health to maximize their independence and live with dignity and respect in their community. Candidate must have a valid MA driver’s license, basic computer skills, and reliable transportation. A great opportunity for recent college graduate who would like to begin their career!  Responsibilities:

  • Provide recovery-oriented psychosocial rehabilitation services, case coordination, advocacy, support, linkage, and outreach to adults with mental health issues living in the community.
  • Promote psychiatric rehabilitation and continued independence in daily living, community integration, self-advocacy, and self sufficiency
  • Coach in basic skills/ADL's such as: financial literacy, household management, transportation navigation, health and nutrition, and community involvement
  • Assist in securing benefits, such as social security, Medicaid/Medicare, Section 8 or similar housing assistance
  • Provide transportation when needed
  • Conducts intake, completes comprehensive evaluation of each client’s life situation, problems and needs, and with client’s participation and consent, prepares a detailed plan of care
  • Provides professional support to clients by maintaining regular contact such as through client home visits to provide personal support, consultation, confrontation and intervention, as necessary, including guidance and instruction.

 

 

Qualifications

-BA or BS and at least one year of mental health experience in the field required, two years in the field preferred.

-First Aid, CPR, and MAP certification within three months of hire required.

-Basic computer skills required.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
