Role Summary:
The Edinburg Center is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated  Certified Nurse's Assistant / Mental Health Counselor to provide support for the individuals with both physcial and mental health needs through recovery-oriented rehabilitation services.


The  Certified Nurse's Assistant / Mental Health Counselor will provide recovery-oriented psychosocial rehabilitation services, advocacy, and support to adults with physical health and mental health issues living in a Community Based Flexible Support (CBFS) residential treatment program.


  • Promote psychiatric rehabilitation and continued independence in daily living, community integration, self-advocacy, and self sufficiency            
  • Provide education, support, and assistance to consumers in the areas of wellness management, illness prevention,  and medication management; monitors self-administration of medication, while teaching maximum independence.
  • Provide education, support, and assistance to consumers in the areas of peer-to-peer support services, WRAP, and other self-help recovery strategies
  • Teach and assist with activities of daily living, i.e. hygiene, housekeeping, shopping, cooking, budgeting, laundry, etc.    


  • High school diploma or equivalent required. BA or BS preferred. Experience preferred. 
  • Certified Nursing Assistant License required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • First Aid, CPR, and MAP certification within three months of hire required. 
  • Basic computer skills required.
