Role Summary:

The Edinburg Center is seeking a Human Resources Intern for the HR Department reporting into the HR Director based in Lexington, MA for the 2018 Summer Term (May or June to August).   The Intern will be provided with ongoing direction and supervision. This is an ideal opportunity for someone interested in a career in Human Resources upon graduation.

Minimum requirement is 10 hours per week.  We are hoping to have an HR Intern onboard by 6/1/18.


This internship will be coorinated with you college to ensure college credit (no salary).  All supversion requirement and documentation will be completed by the HR Director.



  • Updating job descriptions
  • Posting new openings on job boards
  • Scheduling interviews
  • Completing reference checks
  • Source passive candidates
  • Building HR Reports
  • Reviewing Learning Management System
  • Assist with utilization of the new Applicant Tracking System
  • Updating HR Manual




  • Business Major with a concentration in Human Resources preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to build complex reports in Excel
  • Understanding of social media for job posting
  • Available from September to late December
