Role Summay:

The Edinburg Center is seeking an Assistant Clubhouse Director responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the Clubhouse and providing suport and supervision to Work Area Coordinators and Supported Education Coordinator.




  1. Implementation
  • engage members in the Clubhouse by maintaining an ongoing presence in all work areas
  • coordinate the assessments, action plans, progress notes, telephonic outreach notes, off-site supports notes, and any other documentation required for DMH enrolled members
  • supervise all work area staff, including the Supported Education Coordinator
  • manage facility needs of 15 Vernon Street
  • implement database management systems and research projects
  • coordinate morning, lunchtime, and evening social program
  • hire all Counselor I, II, and III staff with the assistance of a hiring committee
  • placement management responsibilities
  • weekend social coverage on a rotating basis with all other staff. 

           2. Development

  • assist Director in program development of Clubhouse services including the following: work-ordered day, social program, connecting with community resources, and other new initiatives
  • coordinate the quality assurance processes of the clubhouse
  • plan and develop work areas by engaging members and staff in the ongoing development of work areas

          3. Administration

  • oversee the work-ordered day
  • oversee the social program
  • meet weekly with the Program Director for individual supervision
  • oversee the following meetings of the clubhouse: weekly planning meeting, community meetings, evening programming,  and all work area meetings
  • represent the clubhouse on external committees of the agency, DMH or others as assigned
  • participation in weekly Administration Committee
  • participation in quarterly Advisory Board Meetings 



  • Education: Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling or related discipline preferred.
  • Experience: Two years’ experience working with the MH population required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in a Fountain House Model Certified Clubhouse preferred.
  • Valid Massachusetts driver’s license required.
