Responsibilities

 

Role Summary: 

The Edinburg Center is seeking an experienced Fee-for-Service Male Behavior Monitor to provide community based ABA support to a 16 year old boy who has high functioning autism.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement, model and monitor progress of individualized behavior support and skill plans based on data analysis under the supervision of BCBA concentrating on social skills, communication and behavioral support.
  • Work collaboratively and independently with team members especially parents.
  • Assist in training parents and caregivers who implement plans with children and families on principles of Applied Behavior Analysis with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications

  • BA in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Special Education or human service-related field
  • Experience in implementing principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children with autism
  • Experience in implementing positive behavior support plans and teaching new skills, including direct instruction, discrete trial training, incidental teaching, task analysis and other ABA methods preferred
  • Experience working with youth 21 years and under with serious emotional and behavioral challenges or Autism
  • The Best candidate will be punctual dependable and able to provide a 1 year commitment working the following schedule - Monday/ Tuesday / Thursday 2p-8p with some flexiblity and potential to increase hours.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills, team player
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
